Playing Mega-Bug (1982) on the TRS-80 Color Computer. One of the most original Pac-Man style games, where the bugs will always follow the trail of blue dots you leave
I remember playing this on my Dad's Radio Shack CPU as a kid. This game was a complete mind#@$% in a hand-basket. Let's just say Pac-Man was child's play compared to this.
Anyone know who voiced the "We've Gotcha!" sound sample? I always thought that was cool, because audio sampling was just in it's infancy. I wonder how much memory the voice sample took up in the cartridge?
I recently remade this game for Windows and called it Super MegaBug. You can download it from gamejolt.com. The maze is bigger, there are more bugs, the ability to wormhole (hyperspace) with upgraded sounds, music and of course the familiar "We Gotcha!". Works on all versions of Windows from XP up, 32 and 64bit. I wrote it in QB64 and with the source code you can compile if for Linux if you like.
That's awesome, my brother had this game! My mother was addicted to it!

Boy, do I ever miss that game. I must've spent hours on it. I just remember the 'la couchara' theme music or whatever it was at the time.
Hard to believe that my watch has better processing power now then the coco did then.
