A Scottish air lamenting the death of James IV of Scotland and over 10,000 men at the battle of Flodden in 1513. My playing of it is probably closer to an arrangement by Fairport Convention than anything else but in any version it is a deliciously sad tune.

  • Wonderful performance!

With its noisy quality it sounds like an old demo tape.

I just love this recording. Thank you very much.

  • @fendermac That's okay, I've worked a few bits and bobs out from watching you play it anyway!

  • @lemurjim ....Thanks.I'd happily send tab if I had any but I'm afraid I'm strictly a 'by ear' player and don't read notes or use tablature. For what it's worth it's in D in regular tuning

  • Fantastic rendition! Do you have the tab for this? I would be ever so grateful if you could send me the tab.
