  • How did the trip go for you in North Korea?

  • @88mroux

Hi there, sorry I missed your post. It is an interesting trip and well worth it. It sort of is like a time machine into Eastern European countries in the 1980's, something I missed when it was next door. I went on a tour which also included three domestic flights and a visit to the Arirang Mass Games. Also a major driver for me to go were the various rare aircraft types one can fly on over there.

  • @TheWarPlanet ok maybe not 70 but i know it is somewhere around 55% and that shows how bad they are anyone barely uses them and the stats are that bad

  • @trainfreak7745 I'll agree with you that Russian planes are shit but 70% is incorrect and why would you make up such a lie? They hardly crash because anyone hardly uses them.

  • There is a generation on engine #3 that supply all electrical for plane. Most airline use external power to plane before starting the engine also can use battery.

  • @Chefsalat76 Russian made planes are crap compared to Boeing and Airbus

  • @lSaif

Wouldn't worry, Tupolev planes are very sturdy. Air Koryo has some Tu-204s though. They are roughly equivalent to a Boeing 757.

  • @lSaif air china does have a route from beijing to pyongyang. You can also take the train if you really feel uncomfortable with flying :)

  • I am scared of flying on these older airplanes, do North Korea have any new Airplanes I can fly on to visit NK?

    Thank you.
