  • I'll never forget this guy! I competed against him in forensics (speech and debate) back in high school in 1994 when he was just 15! I remember he did an interpretation of August Wilson's "Fences." His talent was obvious even then--he won every competition he entered. I always wondered if he'd hit it big one day. Very nice, humble guy too.

  • He forgot a verse from his original. He forgot the part where the son asks his father how to shave and dribble etc. without it, this version where he suddenly jumps to his father teaching how to shave walk and dribble seems slightly out of place

  • The performance on def jam is so much greater. The crowd is very irritating by clapping and shouting while he is still speaking. I miss the heart, but the same words are still so powerful.
