  • The pitney song was only love can break A heart, and it was a completely different song.

  • Kathleen Edwards- Splendid- Do you think Emmy Lou could sing with the flat parts- Neil Could! Watch for it- Neil and Kathleen- It could happen!

  • I agree it's lovely. If you copy a legendary love song you better be great and she is! I hope Neil and KE sing together, I think sparks would fly like Nicolette Larson on Comes a Time!

  • this is a lovely. reminiscent of sheryl crow, but original to herself.

  • Alan Clarke was always the lead singer for the hollies. Nash was always backup, though it was his voice along with Clarke's that created the 'hollies sound' Perhaps the most under appreciated of all the 60's bands.

  • also correct that Neil Young (not Gene Pitney) penned this song and it first appeared on "after the goldrush"

  • Gene Pitney was never in the hollies...

  • Are you sure that Gene Pitney was in The Hollies? I don't think that's true.

Graham Nash was the original lead singer for The Hollies then he left to go with Crosby & Stills and Alan Clarke became lead singer with The Hollies

  • Neil Young of Canada wrote this one. This is off his classic "After the Goldrush" album. Beautiful tune. Wish the whole performance was there. HOok it up.
