@ richprint: I take that part of the song to mean that he (the worker in this case) feels that he cannot go to heaven because he thinks he was failure. He was supposed to work and feed his family, keep them safe, and provide. Now how can he be rewarded by going to heaven for not fulfilling his promises. He is praying to be able to go to hell and serve his time for failing at being a father,a husband, and a member of society. Too many of us have these feelings in this current economy.
