Rita Hayworth-The Glory of Love (Bette Midler)

Like the Beatles said... "Love is all you need"...Its painful to imagine that someone as talented, beautiful and painfully shy as Rita could go through her entire life constantly being taken advantage of by the men she loved. Imagine giving yourself 100 percent to many throughout your life and never receiving that same love in return. Luckily out of those two of those scorned relationships she was able to produce two beautiful children, who made up for the lack of love from the men she once adored.

Such a stunning homage to RITA HAYWORTH! You make me realize that she was sad & happy at the same time; dancing & crying at the same time; joyful & bluesy at the same time; Sensual & sexy, yet alone & lonely at the same time. I've always known these things about her, but you tell the story in a new light, using my favorite song by the great BETTE MIDLER.

Bravo! Perhaps you can direct a new video and explore the range of emotions Rita had when she danced. Oh...that would be marvelous.

@eileenfleming every book written is told through several different perspectives, some happy, some terribly sad. But you walk away with a little something from each, loving her more with each story. I would actually start with the book written by her last husband James Hill, its a memoir. It gives you a more personal look into her private life. Hope this helps. :)

Until I read your info about Rita, I didn't know anything about Rita!

My kid who has a voice like an angelic Janis Joplin and piano playing husband will be performing this cover next month.

From what I have heard out or them; they will ace it and I attest; that only those with The Blues in their heart/soul have a clue as to The Glory of LOVE!
