Why can't newer games bring the same incredibly dark and story-driven atmosphere Diablo 1 produced? You felt like you where truly battling evil in the first one... the new one looks fun, but Blizzard definitely lost touch with their original product... the game focuses more on WoW characteristics than fighting against demonic entities

I'm glad they didn't use this video in the game. The very first time you encounter the Butcher and hear his little catchphrase is far more terrifying.

@RP08FootSoldier Diablo 3 is not even out yet... It is just as brutal and even more so. Each class and their separate abilities, has different death animations which are brutal and gorey. Why can't they use the characteristics of one of their other successful games? (As with all things they get old, get over it)

Also - dungeons keeper. Old, amazing game with atmosphere JUST like in diablo.. Good old times... Too bad the company that made it doesn't excist anymore.. Cleared by EA.

I thought "oh Diablo II wasn't scary at all, so this shouldn't be at all" I opened the door to the butcher, and I was genuinely scared that crap out of. Just to voice made me freeze, then I remember RUN!! HE'S GONNA KILL YOU!! So I walked as fast as I could (WHY U NO HAVE RUN!? T_T)

@RP08FootSoldier and the lore in the PlayStation version was fucking amazing. SO much back story. SO much meta-game info. This is my favourite game of all time. I still remember pissing myself when I heard "AH FRESH MEAT" for the first time.

Open door, FRESH MEAT!!!, brutal axe take 90% of hp, Hearth AChE PANIc pressing 123 at the same time drinking 3 potions, every hit draw me back at the same spot 5 times in a row.. Dead..
