The problem is that sometimes the crowd is violent so we need the police, but when they get it wrong the main issue is that they are not accountable,as in the case of Mr. Ian tomlinson.. No justice, no peace unfortunately.

Ok, i take that as your opinion. A policeman/woman generally doesnt lash out unprovoked. Why are they there in the first place, because someone is doing something wrong, right? If they stop that someone from doing wrong, job done. If i was doing wrong and a police officer hit me i would accept it. Fuck human rights. The woman who got hit in the G8 riots was hit because she was spitting the the police face for 2 hours, so the policeman hit her in the wrong place. How i know, i know him personally
