Hi everyone :D

As promised on my comments page, I've managed to bounce back from a small absence with my FIRST EVER full videogame playthrough. I wanted to do something that barely anyone else has done before, so it's all come down to this - a full run on the PAL release of Ape Escape 3 on the PlayStation 2.

Most of you would remember my Game Rental Theater run on this, so you'd probably be familiar with most of it already. Mind, since that recording I'd had bouts of wanting to replay it since against my initial thoughts, I actually found it to be one of the best titles in the series excluding the original.

In this vid, I cover the intro catch and the first level (Seaside Resort / Scoop! My 36th Wedding). Pretty much a nice easy one to start off on, right?

This vid and all vids that will follow it will include annotation commentary (erroneously stated as "caption commentary" by mistake, doh!). If you want to see my thoughts on how it went, click the caption icon at the bottom right corner of the vid.

Thanks very much for your time, people. I'll see you soon with part 2 :D

  • leave it to the british to misspell PROGRAM!

  • @3fatkid It's called "British English Spelling" for a reason :P

  • @freqrexy another thing...they call them COOKIES it's UK version so shouldn't it be biscuit?

  • @3fatkid It goes by both terms out here. Yep, complex culture, but you get used to it O_o

  • they are only like......10 WHY ARE THERE VOICES SO DEEP!?

  • @leontheliger Doesn't matter; Raz from Psychonauts is also a 10-year-old kid, yet his voice is considerably deeper than Satoru's :P

  • uk specter is a great voice actor

  • I think the writing for this intro scene is far better in the UK version. A lot more intelligent wording to be sure-I wish it was the same for the US version!

  • I, generally, prefer the UK version to the US one. Not only do the characters sound better, and seem more sensible than in the US version, especially Tomuki, but the story in the UK version seems to stay more in tune with the Japanese version. It just feels that the US version seems to stray away from that.

  • @3fatkid We spell it program as well? :P

  • Know what? i think kei's/satoru's voice just sounds awesome in british accent. i dont like the U.S. voice. too high

And so begins another marrage full of domestic violence,it seems...
