Andrew, then 12, played Beethoven piano Sonata No. 8, Pathetique, 1st movement. Performance class, MIC recital hall, Oct. 14, 2006. (It was a performance class, not a recital, his teacher, Mr. del Rosario was coaching in the background).

  • 1:11-1:34. If you had paid attention to this, you would have noticed that this kid puts a lot of emotion in there. The pauses? He's drawing out the notes and he will get better at this as he gains more experience. "Absolutely no passion or expression"? I'm sorry, that's your mother when she's in bed with another man, not this kid. Also, please don't be stereotypical. If you have seen oriental players play instead of listening to a redneck's comments, you would not be so wrong.

  • i don't think that there needs to be a "for your age" tacked on to every single comment here.

this is fantastic, for twelve years old or for thirty years old. period.

  • @LakewoodBroadwayRose "Don't be so ambitious if you can't play the piece absolutely perfectly." WTF does that mean? Learn to articulate your thoughts before posting them for the world to see.

  • @jienshirkim THAT "COACH" IS NONE OTHER THAN THE GREAT PEDAGOGUE EMILIO DEL ROSARIO!

  • Absolutely stellar. Good 4 U

  • u know what? u should do another recording without ur coach voice...so we all have a better hearing =)

  • Very good. Great young man.

    Thank you.

  • @sharingfeelings Its his teacher, read the description

  • Would love to hear the most recent, non-coached aural vision of this fine young man ASAP!

  • To be able to play something so difficult at his age is already an incredible accomplishment. Work hard and good luck.

  • @LakewoodBroadwayRose You are an idiot.. This is great - you are one thing, an idiot... Music is for fun - not to be judged... Imo this is perfect, because he has his own way of playing. Actually I think he sometimes are incredibly perfect. He's a sick good player.

Why don't you upload some piano stuff yourself? oO
