I don't understand why the quality is bad here, but when you watch it on my channel it's normal? Hopefully the quality is good both ways for you. =]
Read if you want to understand.
Late night insomnia.
Well basically, I've been stuck for over 8 months now. My trainer left to California, I thought she'd be back, but under certain circumstances, I believe she is staying there. To say the least, I was disappointed. I've been through so many trainers and I finally found one who believed in Laredo. But now she's gone. So there I was, in my own little pickle. I hated the feeling of not knowing how to get to where I want to be. I fortunately had the support of my amazing friends and especially my friend Kristin (kmaterka). I owe EVERYTHING to her. She is my second Mom. Unforunately, my own Mom is scared to death when she sees me jump, and believes Laredo is not good enough. My Dad is not interested at all and believes he shouldn't spend his money on this sport. He does pay for Laredo's needs..
I'm not trying to sound whiny but I KNOW there are a lot of riders out there who are so incredibly talented but can't go to WEF, or the Maclay's, or any big/rated show. Because as someone told me once, this sport is a sport of money. You can to whatever you want to do. If you want to go to WEF, and you're determined. Who has the right to tell you no? As I heard in a quote, you're powerful beyond measure. And that is what scares people. So, if you want to go places with your riding, don't be afaid to find ways. It won't be easy. As long as you keep your head up and keep on trying. You'll get there.

I made it on an IEA team here in Wellington, Florida. It's going great so far. I had a little incident where a huge horse jumped 10 feet in the air and bucked. I stayed on, but upon landing, I landed so hard in my ankles, the iron broke off from the leather, oops :P My old trainers friend is going to help me out with laredo. My old trainers friend knows a wonderful trainer who I can work things out with in order to have lessons with her on her horses. Things are starting to look up.

  • Threedayeventinggirl: no, Ive been seeing it in a few videos.

  • Wow, this video is so inspiring. I've gone through mutiple trainers as well. I had a 4 year old ottb that knew nothing. Mutiple people told me she wasn't worth the money or time. And some trainers wouldn't even bother to help me, which left only me to train her myself. And we proved them all wrong. I use to live about 15 minutes out of Wellington, and rode there as a kid. I hated being with the snobs, but proving that not everyone needs a 17.0h Warmblood felt amazing. Good luck with Laredo!

  • @horsegirl5825 : That's exactly how I feel. I love having the only QH out there in the jumper ring. Yet he still jumps the moon. I live about 15 or so minutes out of Wellington too. Thank you!

  • How did you make it to WEF I am confused sorry?

  • I'm having a very hard time in the world of horses right now, to the point were I just don't know what to do with myself and my loan horse right now. But my problem is that everyone thinks I have one of the best horses in the world and it's ALL MY FAULT that we don't do well, but i'l keep watching this video and Il keep trying to get things right <3

  • You are such an inspiration to me. And I know you probably get that everyday, but its true. Especially for me, being one of the only english riders in my whole County. I get ridiculed, made fun of, put down, way too often. But thanks to you and Laredo I dont give up because I know anythings possible. People just dont understand sometimes thats its not the money or the size of the horse, its the will of horse and rider to succeed.

  • THANK YOU FOR THIS! Sometimes it is just so hard to see that light at the end of the tunnel, but all of the people who tell me I can't, just make it so much easier to keep trying! I'm going to watch this every time I feel down :)

  • Such a cute horse! I love quarter horses :)

  • You, Laredo, and this video are so inspiring. I got tears in my eyes watching it just now. You and Laredo make an amazing team. I look forward to watching you in the Grand Prix one day.

  • hi i was wondering do u keep ur horse at ur house and take him 2 a barn 4 lessons?

  • Your horse is a great jumper! XD my horse can only do hunter 4 ft cause if he gets too fast in the jumper ring then he goes nuts so sadly I can't do jumpers just hunter xD

  • my horse is turning 2 in march hes a quarter horse and im a jumper and i dont know if im going to go western or stay english! i just hope i can jump with him! hes amazing and i dont care how small or how big or what breed a horse is anyone can do anything if they just keep trying!

  • What is this song ? Very inspirational !

  • i love your videos! i have a 14.3 quarter horse 2 and since i do eventing every1 tells me that i cant make it cus hes not big enough and hes not built for dressage but now i know that it doesnt matter the breed or the size of the horse

  • I love this video(:

They ending is great and just what I needed to hear!

This person always says how the horse I ride is too much for me and he is crazy, but I know me and this horse can be something big if I work hard enough!

  • Whoa, your amazing! very inspiring, how tall where those jumps?

  • This is a truly beautiful and inspiring video! Thankyou for posting it on youtube! I take it Laredo is the pally? if so he's beautiful! Go on with riding and never give up! You clearly very tallented! amazing video!

    I subscribed,

  • he is an amazing horse and he loves you.you can see that in every vid. you guys r an amazing team.

  • You guys are perfect together. I own a quarter horse arabian gelding and he is so green in the jumping...i got to the point when i put up an ad to sell him...it was too much training. After watching these videos and you and laredo you inspired me to keep going with him. Thank you and you are amazing!

Mind me asking, but what is the song?

  • I have watched this movie like a thousand times and I still get tears in my eyes. You are really inspiring, and I can't imaging how hard you have worked and I hope people can see what a potential you have. You're a fighter, and if you don't get what you want you will fight harder to get it. Hope you will give us some updates soon. Good luck, I believe in you!

  • love the video and read the whole description.

you and laredo are both so inspiring in so many ways.

you've proved that a 14'3 QH can jump over 4 foot, and is good enough to compete with all the big fancy warmbloods, etc. and YOU are so talented and strong willed and it just inspires me to watch how much you've achieved <333

  • all i can say is amazing! i think there are a million girls out there that are told they cant expecally when you dont have a $20,000 horse. My quarter horse as well gets laughed at when we walk into the dressage ring. our hearts and souls go into our horses and thats what matters.

  • this video is SUCH an inspiration, to me and my 10 yr old quarter horse gelding. "hes never good enough", "he cant jump" " i need a new horse" "hes an embarresment" these are things people tell me. But to me My horse is AMAZING and this video shows that if you put your mind to it you can do WHATEVER you want. nobody is stopping you. (: Laredo is Amazing keep up the good work xx

  • This video is very inspiring to me. Thank you!

  • I love this video! You've done so well with Laredo! He is amazing :) He reminds me of a paint horse i rode about a year ago who bucked everyone off & nobody knew why i wanted to ride him but after 2 months of consistant riding we went to our first B show and ended up champion :) Unfortunately he got hurt about a month later and has never recovered :( But this video makes me appreciate all that i have and makes me want to work alot harder on my new mare! thanks for making it, its very inspiring!!

  • I hope you got my last comment if you didn't let me know but I also went to Devon on a plain brown pony that was a backyard pony off and on for his whole life and a pony that no one thought had the talent and we almost pinned there.

  • Wow such a great Video!!

    Love Jenny
