As soon as you said it's like breathing through a straw, I actually grabbed one and tried to breath through it climbing my stairs. Jeeze dude, I don't get how you could even live like that. O_o

(I know I have said this on other pages) however I really think that all student doctors should be required to watch Mystery Diagnosis in order to graduate. Anyone else agree?

I appreciate these vids. I was diagnosed with this last week (after years of being diagnosed w/ asthma). I'm 39, and my breathing has been deteriorating for several years now. Fear of stairs and slight inclines in parking lots/streets: yeah, that's my life. I've spent the last few years trying to hide the symptoms from friends and coworkers, but I can't run from a blood test (hell, I can't run at all!). It's good to see someone who found a solution, but it's scary knowing where this road leads.

My son has alpha-1 in his liver. Treatment is not working....liver transplant is our next option. :(
