The discussion of race is never a black and white issue, and recent "AC360°" and CNN.com reports about young children's attitudes on race became one of the most discussed stories on the site, eliciting more than 4,500 comments. In the study, white children had an overwhelming bias toward white, and black children also had a bias toward white, but it was not nearly as strong as the bias shown by the white children. Many users of the site thought parenting was the issue behind the results, some thought the kids were too naive and others thought the testing method was flawed.

@chromelung4 You know, at first I was going to discuss America's history as it pertains to slavery & the raping of black women by slave masters, I was even going to respond with the validity of the test & how it was the same exact test used to eliminate segregation - I've decided instead to simply say have a good day...

ok, look. from a kids perspective , if they ask them who is the 'stupid' child. they most likely won't point on the kid who has their own skin colour, as it emplies they are stupid.... same with other negative/positive description. because as a kid, u think your point of view is the only right one, and you judge everyone according to yourself.

so stop saying all white kids are racist!

@nastik1987 - Actually the study doesn't say all white kids are racist. And you'll find that this study is actually the same study that was done and was one of the most pivotal in desegrating schools in the 60's / 70s. And no, you're wrong - in the original study is was found that African American kids chose White dolls as "smart" etc. proving you don't choose your own race just because you want to see yourself positively or the opposite race just because you want to see the other negatively.

@AnnabelJone It goes back way before 2010; before you & I were ever born. The full study shows that humans were taught what was white / clear was good & what was black / dark was bad. It's in all of the messaging you see every day; this - over time - leads one to dislike the very beauty one possesses. It's not only in African American culture. In other races, Asians, Hispanics / Latinos, etc., lighter skin tone is considered better than darker. So I can't say it's a "black" problem per se.

All kids are racist when they are very young its not really possible too be that tolerant unless your parents are pro liberal hippies its only when you get older that you realise that racism is stupid and bad and that it isn't something to rejoice over.

Maybe there is something to be said for children picking what is similar to them, not because they are racist but because they self-absorbed at a young age and only think that what they are is positive and that anything else is negative. I mean, its a possibility. I am just trying to see any possibilities here.

Mainstream media mind-control has worked well on these kids. If the children had said the opposite, would the documentary ever be televised? Of course not. This is why these experiments are NEVER carried out in countries where the children are happy with their color. Imagine the children's answers from Africa or Indonesia. We know exactly what they'd say and so would the producers. Such a programme would never be aired to a white audience as they'll be unable to feel superior toward other races.
