  • 32 degrees outside, 65 degrees inside and my boiler has not been on all day. Nice and cozy. I just bought a cast iron Dutch oven can't wait to cook by the fire.

  • I was wanting to buy the same set up but was thinking that it would blow some of the smoke into my living room, im just kind of confused on why it doesnt blow the smoke out??

  • @brandenkat

the manifolds actually come out of the fire a couple of inches preventing the smoke from coming back into the house. I couldn't recommend it more, the heat output had increased ten fold. I have a big house and although it doesn't heat up the entire house it does take the chill out and makes the entire house more comfortable, even with a duraflame log the heat output is pretty nice.

  • hey I was thinking of getting this-is the fan loud? also have you run it without the fan-does it work as well? do you need the fan?

  • already did it I highly recommend the blower it increases the heat output dramatically.

  • Checked out the site.. magnificent products, but outrageous prices.

  • paid for itself in about two months with the amount of oil I have saved.

  • seems cool but when you go to bed and the fire goes out, what keep heat from rising up out of your chimney?

Also, does the power cord lay in the fire?

  • hey thanks for the info-what was this about $500?? Can you do me a favor and run it without the blower and let me know if you get as much heat? You can buy it without the blower for half the price.

  • the blower has two speeds and they are both very quiet, I believe that if you take the manifold off, convection takes over and the cold air from the floor is sucked up and comes out heated, I am sure the effect is much better with the blower.
