In 2005 Mike and Chantell Sackett purchased a vacant lot in a fully built-out portion of property along the shores of Priest Lake, in northern Idaho, with the ideas of building a modest 3-bedroom home. In 2007, they started work, but were forced to stop when the EPA claimed they were filling a wetland without a permit. PLF is fighting for the Sacketts in court.

  • Now is the time to rebel and disobey against all laws that are unconstitutional, and start obeying and exercising ALL the rights that are afforded to us, the right to bear arms, the right to private property, the right to true freedom from an oppressive and criminal government. There are more of us than there are of them. We must stand united.

  • It's a myth that we own property in the US. In 1871 the US became a corporation and they own it all....including us. If you don't believe me, try hunting on your property when it isn't hunting season.

Try not paying rent (property taxes) and see how fast they throw you off their property. They sell THEIR property then and keep ALL the money. They don't ever pay the tax and give you back the rest. That's how you know it's really their property. BTW, you have no mineral rights either....

  • @2ndcmdr That was my thought.

  • OperationNOBO. How do you know this is not a wetland? Have you reviewed the NWI maps, aerial photography and soil survey maps of the property? It's a fair question and nobody here seems to take this into account when they say "There are no wetlands here".

  • @Nichevo9 I think your comment is fair, but irrelevant. Reguardless of a better way for a permit to bypass fines from the EPA, the point of all this is to expose them of their wrongdoings. Paying for a permit would have most likely put all this to bed. But, this isn't a wet lands. This isn't a conservative thing, it is a matter of rights and it needs to be heard. Why let people push others around? For money? All your saying is Ill avoid the drama if I can live in peace even if it isn't right

  • One of their neighbors turned them in for not donating to the obama re-election fund.

  • This could have all been avoided if they followed the simple procedure of having a wetland delineation performed and certified by their local administrator of the Wetland Conservation Act (Likely the County) and either avoided or offset the impacts by purchasing wetland credits. Had they done this, they would be enjoying their wonderful lake home right now insted of becomming bitter media tools for conservatives to trumpet their anti-government agenda.

  • The lot is part of a developed sub-division. The utilities were already in, permits were issued. There is NO HYDROLOGIC CONNECTION between the property and the lake. IT ISN'T A WETLAND and the EPA is broadening their definition of "wetlands" simply to suppress and control people who don't have the means to fight back. Ironic that the same people who pay these jokers are the ones getting bit. You know what happens to a dog that bites the hand who feeds it.

  • @TugsN I would if I lived in Idaho. I will when this crap comes to my state if we have state leadership with 'nads (sadly, doubtful). Thanks for asking.

If the Sacketts lose, we no longer have a legitimate government. We have tyranny, which having fought against it using the soapbox, ballot box, and jury box, leaves only the ammo box. Give me liberty or give me death.

  • @jwbaumann A state rebelling using a military force against the FEDERAL government? I hope that you volunteer for the front lines.

  • @gwana8919 Why is law unconstitutional? What of the constitution does the EPA run afoul of?
