A sneak peek at an upcoming Puzzle/FPS hybrid by Nevermore Games. A playable demonstration will be available to the public at the RPI GameFest in Troy, New York on Tuesday, May 11th, held in the EMPAC. http://empac.rpi.edu/
This quick video was put together to be played on the projector during GameFest to draw attention to our game, along with the other 16 independant game participants in the festival. It was assembled without sound, since we will not have access to speakers for this demonstration.
The core gameplay revolves around two teams of players fighting to control steam-powered robots, and get them to their team's power generator. They can do so by placing arrows on the floor to redirect the bots. They also have three powerful weapons at their disposal, in order to prevent the opposing team from doing the same.
The game itself has been developed using UDK (www.udk.com) by six students over the course of the last three or four months. An official website is in the works, where the game will eventually be made freely available for download.
