FFXII DCHLB - Omega Mark XII: The Final Challenge

Dual Character, Half License Board Challenge In this challenge, Basch only knows the bottom license board and Ashe only knows the top license board.

Battle took 35 minutes but this video has been cut down to 9+ minutes to avoid making multiple videos.

Wow, this was a really huge task. The main problem with this challenge during the battle was depending on Ashe to work her ass off with magic. After spending hours farming Hi-ethers, elixers and hastega motes, I realized I wasted time farming almost 99 of them. The most I used in this challenge were 10 to 15 of each.

Hi-ethers -- steal from bull chocobo (rare monster) in Ogir-Yensa and get treasures in Cerobi Steppe
Elixers and hastega motes were farmed in Cerobi Steppe.

Dark Matter -- created in the Bazaar and charged with Knot of Rust by having Ally Ashe: Knot of Rust and Ally Basch: Knot of Rust on each character, then stand next to a save crystal. Within minutes, I was able to charge Dark Matter to max 60,000.

Omega's attack sometimes inflicts berserk. That was a major problem. If the top character becomes berserk, I let her die and get a reversed reserve to revive that character. If Basch, the bottom character becomes berserk, it's even better because his strength increases. When getting away from Omega to revive and recast reverse/decoy, I had to move fast before Omega's HP increases again. I would cast reverse, go near him so he can attack the person in order to prevent his HP from increasing, and then make Basch have bubble, reverse and decoy.

Using Zodiark was a waste of time. His deathblow would only leave my bottom character with no mp afterwards and vulnerable.

This is a challenge. Please understand that this is not a normal game play and don't ask me or comment about why the character's levels are so high and why I'm only using 2 characters. Dual Character Half License Board Challenge means you only use two characters of your choice. Only one person can learn all licenses on the top part of the license board. The other character is only allowed to learn the bottom portion of the license board.

The top character will have more HP, MP, augments, etc but have poor defense because of poor equipment.

The bottom character will have access to all weapons/armors but have poor HP and no augments, no accessories, etc. This person will depend on the healing of the top character.

What accessory did you have Ashe wear? I only ask because you seemed to use Hastega Motes a lot, when you could have equipped her with Hermes Sandals.

Or was there a more important accessory she needed to be equipped with?

Ashe is wearing Indigo Pendant so she can cast Reverse 100% of the time to avoid being killed quickly.

You can get bubble on the airship after completing Pharos or in Muthuur Bazaar when you get a certain clan rank when completing hunts.

yea um i was wonderin in my strat guide it says to use armor without any mag resist why u using the crown of laurels?

Why no magic resist? I used Crown of Laurels because it adds good HP bonus.

1. I tended to die faster with Omega, bc of its attacks.

2. Defo Yiazmat (esp. de 20% health left version)

3. Yiazmat! It took me nearly 5 hours to beat the crap out of it.
