yea i know its the McCormick slough but its the Umatilla National Wild life Refuge so we have always called it Umatilla. We are from Oregon City how bout you.

any particular thing you say into the call? I've hear "dougy" kitty" or "ticky ticky" but I cant seem to keep it going...its like a damn tongue twister..lol you guys ever go to summer lake and hunt? we have excellent luck over there but have a hell of a time around the portland area

What i say into the call kinda sounds like im saying "Good" really fast over and over. So you get the tongue action like "kitty" but the low grunt sound you would get with like "doug" if that makes any sense. i used to go to summer lake for opening day every year and it was awesome but the last few times i have been there it sucked. let me know if that chuckle works any better and it really just takes a lot of practice.

at 2:41 what brnad of call are you using? sounds like a feeding call. I use primos mallard and nag but cant get them to replicate that chatter.

I use the buck gardner double nasty XL spit tech. I love the spit tech because I spit a lot when i call witch makes the reeds stick. the spit tech call will not stick at all. The feeding chuckle just takes a lot of practice, i have heard several different ways to make that sound you just have to find what works for you a practice.

thanks, I appreciate it. Going to Sauvies sunday, I'll try it our there. Summer lake was dissapointing last year cause the winter was so crazy but this year we did really well. was still somewhat warm. I'll post some videos of the hunts here pretty soon. Working on getting an HD camera in the next week or two. thanks for your help!
