man on wire was terrible. the man was an egotistical asshole who used his friends. the movie was incredibly boring and simple. i could tell you in one sentence what happens: A man plans years to walk between skyscrapers and then does it. The feat was neat, the lass was an ass, and there was no reason to use 90 minutes to drag this out with annoying commentaries by all those involved, especially the lead dick.

yeah i liked it, but it played that one song over and over. but still that aside, great eye opneing documentary. for sure this will win best documentary at the oscars.

If you do a little more research about Philippe, you learn that he agreed to explain all of his methods to the police in exchange for a dismissal of the charges.
I think you are missing the greater point about Philippe's feat. His act brought joy to the lives of many. I suggest you watch the movie rather than dismiss the man as a criminal.

The only thing I don't like about YouTube is that people can make stupid remarks like Alfrunk has done here. This is one of the great documentaries ever made. It's moving and heartbreaking at the same time. It deservedly won the Oscar this year. It's about so much more than wire-walking.
