that's awesome! i'll be marching, hoping the show will be awesome. it's on 9-11, so we'll be doing something special <3 first game is friday! SO excited!!!

we do all have uniforms. the costumes were just part of the show. : ) i marched in this show.

- SHS is anything but a typical band. THE SHOW IS SOUTH PACIFIC. Would you like them to do Styx or Journey and sound like every other band? SHS has a long tradition of being creative, entertaining, and providing a half time show like no other band. I'm not saying SHS always sounds the best, but you better believe it's going to be a show. It's original and it's fun. Did you watch the video...? They sang the tune from the show, and there was a volcano, WITH LAVA. That right there.... says it all.

- Residents still cheer when they come by in the founder's day parade, and they usually win an award for the best part of the parade, whatever that title may be.
- The scorpionettes worked very hard as I remember. There may not be as many interested in being on the squad as there once was, but the band has also shrunk. New schools opening up have made their impact, and numbers have dwindled, which is completely circumstantial and has nothing to do with administrative fault.

Well, as someone who was a drum major at SHS, allow me to retort (yes I'm quoting Pulp Fiction).
-The colors are still scarlet and silver. You don't see it in the video because due to a lack of funding for music in public schools they cannot afford uniforms for the entire band. SO they have costumes that accent the theme of their show, in this case obviously they are dressed as the cast of south pacific would be.
