  • @VioIentGoIdFish I didn't realize that everyone in Australia takes such unexciting leaks...

  • @hughtub Well, it's artwork, really. The medium, ***** wood (more likely top quality wood), created by famous colonial smiths, and immaculately preserved for over 150 years.

By your logic, the Mona Lisa is just old canvas and paint.

  • @Justmyopinionlol "My people are buying back what you whites have stolen from us with pistols and the swords."

That explains our entire conversation. Thanks. You can go away now.

  • @Ultranothing I was referencing the expensive items from the antique roadshow. Obviously, if we talk about the world market, then there's highly prized items from just about anywhere. However, in today's market, Asian antiques command the highest prize since my people are buying back what you whites have stolen from us with pistols and the swords.

  • @Justmyopinionlol "There aren't many 'expensive' objects originated out of Europe. Sure, you got some fairly valuable appraisals but the superlatives always belong to a foreign culture (mostly East Asian) on auction."

And that's just your laughable opinion, based upon nothing but what you've seen on YouTube or the television. The very notion that hardly anything of value originated anywhere but from East Asia is too bizarre for me to even believe it came from a working brain.

    Whatever, tho.

  • @Ultranothing I watched the majority of these shows and most of the highly valuable objects were imperial heirlooms or religious artifacts. People don't just give away those things and white people always claim an ancestor who received said objects from "expeditions". There aren't many "expensive" objects originated out of Europe. Sure, you got some fairly valuable appraisals but the superlatives always belong to a foreign culture (mostly East Asian) on auction.

  • @Justmyopinionlol They're probably consoled by the fact that we're indebted to them as a nation to the brink of virtual ownership.

But seriously (as if that weren't serious), what's with all the assumptions? You just blatantly accuse random people of stealing artifacts from ancient cultures as if you had any proof?

Your opinion truly is a "laugh-out-loud" one.

  • @Ultranothing Well, all the really valuable stuff are Chinese. How do you think Chinese people feel seeing that all the good stuff are stolen from their country?

  • @SplinterCell128 "hahaha all of importedmusic's comments are so funny"

Well then, sir, our definition of "funny" varies greatly!

  • @CourtyardPigeon "Tons and tons of security. They walk people to their cars for cases like this."

Or, in extreme cases, the auctioneers and appraisers will arrange storage for them, so it's basically out of their hands. Or, for those who CLAIM they don't want to sell their items, shipping and security is likely taken care of by the show.

I went in to work today and wasn't even on the schedule. Now I'm so bored I'm answering two-year-old comments.

    Sorry 'bout that! :)

  • @bushbuds Two years ago, I know - but I just heard someone answer this yesterday:

Apparently, the trend of wearing ones pants below the butt-cheeks started in prison, where the inmates would wear their pants low to let others they were "easily accessible," if you catch my drift?

Yeah...Don't know how that caught on...

  • @Justmyopinionlol For those who see things in terms of color, I suppose that's true?
