i wonder how many byu players and the fans know what haka is and what they represent and the story of ka mate.

also, hawaii doesn't have a traditional war dance. they just have chant but they did haka anyway. but now they have come up with their own war dance called ha'a.

A) not HAWAII.
B) it's folklore. It's a warcry done before going into battle to intimidate your opponent. Why not do it in front of your opposing team? Specially before a rival match.. Specially when you have poly players.

Son copiones los desgraciados de la "BYU", porque el "haka" es un grito de guerra maori, de nueva zelanda, "new zeland". La idea original es del equipo de "rugby" "all black" de nueva zelanda de utilizar el haka, ustedes solo copian, pero lo hacen muy mal.

Wow. Que chido que aprendes historia y cultura de peliculas como Invictus.
Te recomendaria que aprendas un poco mas. Hay muchos jugadores de BYU que son de las islas. Tambien, la Haka se adapto a mas que los maoris y se usa en celebraciones en las diferentes islas.
No aprendas cultura de las peliculas, y menos si vas a criticar a los demas.

Why does Hawaii do the Haka anyway? It's a Maori dance. BYU had a legitimate excuse to do the dance, because Mahuika's relative was a Maori chief, and he passed away. They did it to honor him. I wish they still did it. It was so impressive to watch.
