On June 18th, the Lebanese army set up checkpoints in two neighborhoods and carried out raids, in the northern city of Tripoli, after sectarian clashes broke out.
Four people were killed and 46 injured, when gunmen from Bab Al Tebbaneh, a Sunni Muslim neighborhood, and Jabal Mohsen, an Alawite neighborhood fought after protests supporting Syrian demonstrators took place.
Although sectarian fights often occurs, Friday's incident comes at a time when tension is escalating across the northern border.
Alawites are a minority in Lebanon but the country has seen a recent influx of Syrians within the past month, after a military attack in Tel Kelakh, a border village.

There's absolutely no such united between Muslims and Shiites, and there never will be. These Shiites have been ruining Islam since the time of the prophet's companions. The only people that similar to them are the Jews.

Really stupid. Us Arabs really should just unite and stop wasting our time on minor differences. We should focus on bigger problems such as becoming more civilized, educated, and fair. Also if we unite we will get our freedom.
