  • Thanks! Unfortunately the woolsey hall organ is anything but aggressive! And with 5 second reverb, everything washes out. Listen to my recording of the Calvin Hampton Dances on the Battell organ if you want aggressive! :-)

  • I almost didn't listen to this, because I'm not a big fan of Guillou's playing or composing. But you manage to make sense of one of his more accessible works. Maybe, since it's one of his early pieces, he hadn't had time to develop some of his weirder tendencies ;-)

  • Thanks for posting this fantasic piece. I must say, I've never been more aware of the emotional impact of music than when listening to Guillou...most of whose recitals end with an indescribable mass of sound. We heard Giullou play Opus#9 at St Eustache years ago and I have never forgotten it.

  • Very well played, if only not aggressive enough at times.
