http://www.pepperl-fuchs.us - Pepperl+Fuchs' M12 cylindrical inductive proximity sensor is used in a wind power turbine to control the nacelle movement. The rotor must always face into the wind so the wind power turbine will be able to generate as much electrical energy as possible. On days with strong winds, high forces stress the system. Any malfunction of the nacelle control can result in high costs and downtimes. The M12 inductive proximity sensor monitors the correct rotation and functioning of the wind turbine.
