right, if for some reason the board slipped or he slipped and fell over it could be ugly. i personally know someone who when he was a kid was doing the same thing to the back of a chair with a steak knife. the knife went in his eye and he lost sight in that eye. a simply mistake that he is reminded of daily

For batoning another knife to split logs for firewood, hammering in tent pegs, practically anything that requires blunt force. If you've ever gone camping outdoors you'll know what I mean.

plus a knife is as much of a tool as it is a weapon i carry my knife all the time not so much for self defense but for the little everyday jobs that need it. and if i do need it for self defense it is there

could I use the knife to baton a log. and just use a stick to hammer it? or would it cause to much force on the blade?
