This short video gives a quick overview of some of the recent developments with the Columbia River Crossing. It details the local concerns raised by the local elected officials on the Project Sponsors Council and how the Governors of Oregon and Washington are ignoring these concerns and pushing the project forward.

what is needed is an additional bridge further to the north, and I have to disagree that a new bridge with more lanes would somehow only have the same traffic capacity as the present one when the current bridge is obviously the primary chokepoint on the freeway. The traffic backups are before the bridge on both sides, not after.

This whole thing is really pissing me off...if they're going to spend $4 BILLION in tax dollars to build a bridge which doesn't even have more traffic capacity than the current 100 year old one, there's no point in building it! It seems like the people in charge of this project are really out of touch with normal people that are just tired of sitting in traffic jams for two hours a day.
