Man, Those were the days,but i tell ya, the mid 80s were on fire too. In the early days, we spun anything, and the dancefloor stayed packed. I would spin J. Giles Band, Prince, Cybortron, Machine, Eric B and Rakim, Soul Sonic Force, Kraftwerk, and Rhythm is Rhythm in the same set, and never clear the dance floor. Those were the days. Now, if you dont play what's on 106 and Park or the radio, people dont want to hear that. Long Live Detroit Techno.

I'm not sure there is any proof that Soletech is Jay Denham. You are the first person to mention that it is him, and he was usually upfront with his monikers. Soletech is a self released label, and all of his self-released records were on Black Nation Records and had a Kalamazoo address listed, where Detrechno had a Detroit phone number listed. Sorry dude...

That's it, Detroit stand up!!! We need to revive the scene/dance show atmosphere to the club scene in the D. I miss hearing this music and in the last week I've regain my love for it. I want to see a new "new dance show" in the D but with people doing the old dances of the past. I think that would be the shyt and I would be the first to get in on it. I cant believe people from the Chi on here really think we bit the jit from their juking.

In the 90's, we would hit I-75 north from Toledo Ohio and 35 minutes later land in Detroit and it was like being on another planet. That techno, house, ghetto tek, booty music and speed garage scene was on fire, man, that shit was, and still is, fun as hell. We would party all night, and the D has the best DJ's on the planet (don't forget DJ Melody from Toledo), but we do our thing here in the Midwest, and if you haven't seen Detroit Jit yet, you're missin' some serious partying, fo'real.
