@Ezdduf4kuZ Bobby Pedrick, Jr., was only 12 years old when he did this song.

This country song reminds me of Patsy Cline, Brenda Lee and Wanda Jackson all rolled into one. The guys got a higher pitched voice something like that of the lead singer of the 70's band "Supertramp". I mustn't forget Franki Vali and Maurice Gibb too with very high voices, well above those of Bobby Pedrick Jr. We currently have a very popular Justine Bieber with a similiar situation, but in his case he still has some growing up to do. I like this song alto I've never heard it before.THX

The song was written by the popular NYC team of Doc Pomus & Mort Shuman.

He almost sounds like a younger Buck Owens. Awesome!

Been looking for this song for years - heard it on the radio once in the 70s. Thought it was called "...tuxedo and a white sports coat", but that only got me Marty Robins... Great tune driven along by that great bouncing bass. Many thanks.
