MXR DISTORTION PLUS + OD pedal DIY Clone - Marshall JCM 900 Gibson

A video showing my custom built MXR Distortion + clone. I built this one really fast, and sounds great, when played with a tube amp. I used an 88' Gibson Les Paul Custom and a Marhsall JCM900 4100 on the clean channel. The amp has Tungsols 6l6's.

If your have 1MEG pot for level, you are pretty much stuck with havint to have the level all the way. You can try and replace the pots for 100K. I got it like that for a while and the output was more pronounced. If you are using Germanium Diodes, try replacing the diodes to IN4148 or red LED's, this will in turn provide more output , be ready for a change in tone with any of this mods. Good Luck.

You will get more distortion if using Germanium Diodes. The IN4148 will give you a cleaner sound. Using or adding LED's will clean the pedal even more.

yeah, my compliments-you remember to face frank gambale.continua così-pick ups emg-good sounds.I don't love the pick ups emg or similare, but I listen other guitarist and in this case the mxr have a good sound
