May I recommend the book 'An Essential Guide To Music In The 1970s' by Johnny Zero. The author is a big fan of this track.

@Honeyglow1000 God loves all of us, but he loves expressly those people seeking for him. Search for him in his Book.

This is a very beautiful love song, from a man to his wife to tell her how much he loved her. According to Wikipedia, Richie said the writer was inspired by his father telling his mother he loved, needed and wanted her, hence the three times. Yes, I feel the presence of God in the words of the song "I love you", because God is love. And yes I feel God made use of this song to tell me He loves me, and it's a message to all from God that He does love those that love Him. Thank you, God.

@Honeyglow1000 I wonder if you'd still love this song if you actually knew what it was about..probably not, as a narrow-minded, iron-hearted religious person as seem to be.

@Fatboypie23 LOL
There was a time when I felt no one loved me, not even God Himself. I cried myself to sleep. Well I had a clock radio and when it came on at the set time this song was playing right where it said "you're once, twice, three times a lady and I love you, I love you". It was as if God was telling me through that song that He loves me. I never forgot it.
