they should be talking more about getting rid of many of the taxes rather than just adding more of them. do you think income taxes will go away when they do their so called reform? hidden taxes, state taxes, sale taxes, permits, licenses, inflationary tax. this video misses the whole point, many of the taxes are unjust and unlawful. just read their own tax codes and you will see they don't even obey their own rules. most taxes are tribute pure and simple.

    - I agree with your last 3 questions. However, the reason that congress has never instituted a direct tax is because they're afraid that people would take their last tax bill with them into the voting booth. I believe the income tax was likened to plucking the maximum number of feathers from the chicken with the least amount of clucks. The gov't has actually got people believing they get money back rather than pay anything.

just because it is written in books, does not make it so.

so how would one prove compliance? And since the actual purchasing was done by a consumer, how is it not the case that they must prove they are in compliance since they did the purchasing? Your not seeing the bigger picture. However, why is it that the federal government must tax people or corporations at all? WHat gives it right over other people money? In fact, why does it not just levy the states based on population size and needed revenue?

    - No. If you read the books you would remember that when a business or such collects the FairTax, they get rewarded. So there would be incentive to not be a party to cheating. If someone pays with cash or not, the tax is still collected. Also, most of the special interest groups DON'T WANT the FairTax precisely because they cannot game the system as they do now. The only devistation is from socialism and the socialist income tax.

Have you thought how one will prove compliance? What do you think happens to those that pay cash? Do you think that the IRS will just ignore them? And what about special favors to big business and interest groups? Under the fair tax they just get bigger. You had better rethink your position and understand the true devastation and loss of liberty under this system. In time, it would make todays tax system a cake walk. After all, the income tax started simple enough.
