@barrelomonkey he might have pulled off the spray deck but I think the boat was half full of water anyway. they struggle so much to start and the guys deck at the front is being forced up and the one at the back has a suction on his as though the water in the boat has gone to the front. either way it was planned

This was a clearly staged fail. You can plainly see that at 0:42 he reaches with his left hand and intentionally pulls off the spray deck. Lame
