@Dook6 WLS was the first to start using it in late 1995, which is when they re-branded from Eyewitness News to ABC7 News.

@sky1beam WLS uses two minorly different versions, this upbeat rendition for 11a, 4p and I think 5p. They use the "Thunderous" version at 6p and 10p.

KGO in 1985 has an open like this but with the Anchors faces included.

KGO was the first ABC O&O to attach the abc logo to the ABC7 Logo as early as 1996 before the other ABC O&O did it from 1997-1999 to separate itself from KATV in Arkansas and WXYZ.

KGO Changed it to the KABC Logo in 2003 right when Kevin Keeshan came in and Pete Wilson was starting his 2nd year at KGO.

Sure is. Not only both ABC affiliates but also ABC Owned & Operated.
