They seem to be implying that Gabby's awkwardness is because she's MTF, but she's been shown to be a geek, and the sort of behavior she shows I have witnessed often in Japanese anime fans. :/ But let's scapegoat it with the fact she was born a man.

I wish I could just get it through her head that see is a WOMAN. She keeps feeling like she had to tell ppl she was born a man, no one can reasonable guess she was born male. I would think she was a foreign female. That's no one else business unless they are in a physically intimate relationship with her!
She is not only female, but one very attractive, tall , slim , rather hot female at that!! More than what most women could hope for.
