  • Must all 3 pannels be ...."open" for it to charge up. Or does it still charge when its closed?

  • I think it can charge with only one panel exposed while it's folded but I don't know for sure.

  • Hey hun.. I've been looking to buy a solar charger and this one looks pretty gd. I was curious to know if the 'female usb tip' can be used with any usb plug.. for ex. my phones usb plug or my cameras usb plug.. or is it just compatible with the ipod usb plug?! thanx much :)

  • I believe you can use it with any device that uses USB but check their site to make sure.

  • Does it work with iPhone 3G?

  • Right now, you have to use either a charging adapter like the Scosche passPORT to use the iPod tip, or you can use iPhone cord plugged into -----> 12V DC Cigarette Lighter Power Plug for USB Cable ---> Solio 12V Universal Adapter ---> SOLIO device. Solio is currently working on an adapter to avoid having to go through all those steps

  • did you say 15 min or 50 min of music time after 1 hour of direct sunlight?

  • The new ones DON'T have the connectors included... what a ripoff

  • I wonder who knows where can I buy a good and strong solar charger that can charge from the original charger of a video camera or a laptop (110-220v)?Thanks.

  • @marcelchelo You do need to fully open the Solio Classic for it to charge since all three solar panels work in conjunction.

  • This one is the magnesium edition not hte classic.

  • great i got like 4 of those lol

  • How do you tell it to charge through the solar panels?

  • buy 2, charge one & use one, then rotate.

  • technology these days its like they have taken battery power to the next level

  • yes. you charge it up with any computer for ~5 hours. 10HRs for solar depending on the direct sunlight and conditions.
