Your right your not an expert!!!! You need some serious lessons in making Japanese Matcha...I'm not even going to list the mistakes you made cause there are to many.
type how to make matcha its by teaembassy. The Video to this link is real good!!! I lived in Japan for 3 years and grew great appreciation and respect to the Japanese tea ceremony. Even if Im just making Matcha at home I like to keep it as formal as possible. Attention to detail is huge when it comes to brewing tea, any small mess up is in a way disrespectful like wetting the Chashaku:( My wife who is Japanese saw this video and freaked. Keep on practicing and you'll get it down.
@jeikun4114 I think where disrespect comes into play is when someone tries to pass themselves off as something they are not, which I hope I have not done. I only spent one day in Japan on my way to china (and drank tea out of a can). But I think people can enjoy matcha without doing the ceremony. I sell most of my matcha to people who just want more caffeine. Many of them just shake it up in a water bottle with cold water.
1) at 2:51, u used the chashaku to stir the matcha. the chashaku should only be used to scoop the matcha powder into the chawan and should never be wet unless washing. to break up the lumps, use the chasen.
2) at 3:10, u are adding way too much water. the amount added should be just a little more than what u've added in the beginning.
3) the foam is all wrong. the chasen should be used to swish and whisk the matcha so that foam is formed.
