@aelix56 Of course I did. I'm obviously not fluent in the language, but I had too many years of Spanish to forget all of it. Besides, during my summer vacation to Puerto Rico, my friend who lives there browbeat me for bastardizing her language on a per-hour basis. Can't say I blame her (I said things like "El semáforo está muerto" just to annoy her), but she brushed me up on my knowledge.

@DawnofRoxas101 I don't remember all of the game mechanics, but they may have only traded with me because of that. I'm racking my brain to try and remember past games... Ah, well. Perhaps I'll confirm it for myself later on in this series.

What is interesting with the 2004 version is that fencing is very predictable you can read your opponents quite clearly, its quite possible to be able to dodge all attacks with some practice. I never got any good at the fencing in either Pirates! Gold or the very first Pirates!. Did I miss anything obvious in the older games?

@meanmanturbo Your opponents don't telegraph themselves, forcing you to have quick reflexes and an unparalleled mastery with the rapier (on higher difficulties).
