Boycott the Dark Knight?! Hey guys thanks for much for tuning back into clevver movies, Im your host, Tatiana Carrier and ive got the latest on a boycott that is targeting the caped crusader!

According to 100gf, a radical movement is being inspired by a movement on Reddit to protest Sopa, by hitting one of the most highly anticipated movies of the year where it hurts: At the Box Office!!!

Heres a quite directly from the site: "As opposition to Hollywood studios relentless support of Sopa and Pipa continues, a new campaign is urging people to boycott The Dark Knight Rises (this year's big new Batman film) in protest."

The campaign is based around this Reddit page and aims to hit Hollywood where it hurts by knocking some dollars off the film's undoubtedly huge box office take. Can a campaign to encourage a boycott of the film really do enough damage to make people sit up and take notice? I personally think its STUPID and they should know better than to eff with the dark knight!

Its a very bold move, i am definitely against SOPA but does it have to be the dark knight?

Can we not do it with some other movie?

When it is all said and done the movie will make it to DVD, within a short time period if the boycott works, so why not support SOPA where it matters the most?

I love dark knight and have been patiently awaiting the movie, but i believe SOPA is far more important then the movie. I will, no matter what, see it within a few months, or less.

Either way it goes the movie will make it on DVD. I think it would be a good idea to strike them where it hurts. But at the same time tho it's Batman I mean c'mon it's lame to go after the supposed biggest movie this year, butit would be the smartest way to protest against s.o.p.a. and p.i.pa. If organizations like this SOPA r trying to prevent people from using the net to watch new movies, its really not going to work. You cant control the Internet, even the Govt try this by cleverly trying to bring out things like ITunes, and LUVFILM.com, these r just exactly the same as Illegal download websites only all it boils dwn to is this, THE GOVERNMENT WANT THIER SHARE!! lol. @BatmanFANization If anything thats the beauty and sumtimes dwnfall of the Internet. The standard of movies (pretty much everything these days), has gone poor over these recent decades, technology is getting so much better, that filmakers r depending too much on it sumtimes, its weakening their passion and Imagination to make really great films. So people r soo used to streaming, dwnloading movies off the net now. But wen the odd gem comes out, they shud watch it 1st at Cinemas
