BattleSphere - Atari Jaguar

Here's a small demo of BattleSphere for the jag. I'm letting it play in demo mode, since I still suck at the game. I'm still a pilot in training... one day... one day!

Okay Jag hypesters... This game is a good jag game... Definitely one of the better Jag games granted. But it is highly over-rated by many Jag enthusiasts. It is just like Star Raiders with updated graphics. It gets old quick IMO. There were better starfighter games then, and definitely better ones now... With netplay even! Starlancer anyone?

And yes I had EVERY commercially released North American game and many of the aftermarket and home brews including Battlesphere. Just keeping it real!

There's nothing wrong with a differing opinion as long as it's an informed one.

Personally, I really like the game, but it's certainly not my favorite Jaguar game.

AvP holds that title and probably always will.

I would probably put Battlesphere on my top 10, though.

The graphics are great and show a lot more of the Jaguar's power, but the game overall looks a little boring. I'm not really in to these kinda games though so that's probably why.

AvP for me as well! Talking similar type games... I also prefer Skyhammer and Battlemorph to this one

Battlesphere is a fun game for a while. The game play is shallow, but it does have highly tweakable difficulty. Also it runs at a consistently solid framerate which is rare for a jag game.

BS might crack my top 5 Jag list, but we're talking Jag here, not all time faves! If I ever bought a Jag again, I definitely wouldn't dish out the hundreds of dollars needed to get this one again.

This game is extremely hard to find and it's can run very costly.Most who claim the Jag sucks,never had it and probably never played it.They only believe what they read in opinionated game magazines and these children's lame reviews that are too young to even remember the Jag.I had close to 30 carts and 9 cd's on mine and quality ranged from very good to very bad;similar to my other consoles.

I have this game is it is amazing. Lots of fun networked too. For anyone that thinks that the Jag sucks, you should play (not just watch) BattleSphere. It's like Star Raiders but with a lot of enhancements.
