@FYB2007 Great Tip Will! I was also wondering if I should try to pronate, but I got other shoes to fill before I start doing fancy pronations on my forehand.
-
Is it just me or is that guy always walking in the background?

Will,
Do you think Ana lacks the unit turn? I barely see her left-arm stretching pointing to the side...

Hey no her technique is fine. Some of these forehands her hitting partner is at net volleying. So her time is cut down.

Thanks for the video! Comparing this video with the other ones, it looks that roger and rafa hit their forehand with much more pushing forward their wrist. isn't it ?! Besides, ana's forehand shots look much flatter than roger's and rafa's. So, can we say that for getting more topspin we have to push forward fast our wrist from the back ?!

Roger and Rafa pronate on many of their forehands, but so does Ana. Pronation, however, is the forearm and wrist moving together. It's not just a wrist motion. And the movement is similar to how your hand moves when you open a door knob -- the wrist isn't "pushing forward." I would recommend strongly against trying to do this unless you're a very good player. It's not necessary to pronate to hit a great forehand (see Roddick / Djokovic) and it can really mess your shot up if u do it wrong.

yo fyb, isnt she using wrong technique. arent usuppose to bring the racket back with BOTH HANDS and then bring it back further wit one hand? shes jus pretty much hittin it one handed

hey picard. on the first forehand we edited it so she's already released the racket. if you watch the subsequent ones, she completes her unit turn (we call it the pivot and shoulder turn) w/both hands on the racket and then lets go. so her technique is A-OK (it's actually fantastic!).
