At Christ's tomb, inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, Israel, during Roman Catholic Mass, August 17, 2010. Roman Catholic Mass is celebrated daily inside the Church at 5:00 PM local time (though the organist is not always present).
No recording can possibly capture the magnificence of the sound in this Church. I have heard many organs in many Churches and Cathedrals in Europe and the US, but nothing tops this one.
Regardless of the academic debate concerning the site's historic validity, many centuries-worth of prayers and piety are within the walls of this Church; it is truly a very special place. Though I myself am Jewish, this was a beautiful and transcendental experience like no other, and one I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Jerusalem.
P.S. This was the first time I had ever taken video with my camera, and it wasn't planned, hence the short clip (ran out of memory) and the poor "cinematography".
