That all depends on your point of view! Yes, a bit more coal smoke. Although many would consider it a repressed time, that repression may have actually served to preserve one's opportunity to be "decadent" in private if one so wished. There were no drug laws, for instance, opium and hashish were available over the counter. At least among the mid-to-upper classes, their manners were much better. One comes to realize, that we are not better than they were, just very different.
Could you put up more videos of New Babbage, please? I want to see the streets and houses in more detail. Does it always look like this, or was the "old camera" effect something you did for the vid? So yeah, more detailed vids, please. *hands virtual anti-depressants* (I just went through MANY steampunk vids, and looking at a Victorian's view of the future can make one depressed!)
