  • And don't forget to use the free service from the antilosta website to tag all your valuable possessions like credit cards, passport, camera, phone, laptop etc. Thanks to my little antilosta tag I got my lost wallet with all my credit cards back one day after it was lost while travelling.

  • If you wear a belt for your money and white sport shoes, the "Indiana Jones's" kind of hat, shorts etc. you'll definitely look like a tourist, moreover like an AMERICAN tourist. Do you want to look like that? There are some places all around the world that it is better to look like a local, you don't want the attention of a potential thief! Extra tip: Europe is MUCH safer than the US.

  • Great tip about copying the passport ... thanks for that.
