And now for THEIR conclusion. In this scenario, the lion had the advantage of surprise, a mane and fighting experience.

Some Interesting LION Facts:

*The prehistoric American Lion was the largest cat to ever walk the earth. It was roughly four times larger than his famous SABERTOOTH cousin.

*The Term "King of the Beast" is misleading because a lion will run from many creatures, including elephants and rhinoceros.

*The largest lion on record was almost 11 feet long and weighed nearly 700 pounds.

*A lion's average life span is 13 years but a lion named "Nero" once lived to the ripe old age of 29 in a West German zoo.

*There are only one fourth the number of lions in Africa as there were just 40 years ago.

*A lion's eyesight is five times better than a human's, and it can hear prey that is more then a mile away.

*A captive lion eats about 15 pounds of meat each day, but a wild lion usually eats only twice a week.

God seems to favour the lion for its boldness:
Proverbs 30:30 A lion [which is] strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any;

The curse will one day be removed:
Isaiah 11:7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

Lion used as a metaphor for Jesus Christ in End Times:
Revelation 5:5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

  • @kvsudharshan1 I never said lions were stronger because of more competition. I never even said they were stronger. I said they had a stronger paw swipe, which does not relate to overall body strength, but instead to the method which lions use to strike, and the fact they have been scientifically proven to have more developed shoulder muscles....all of which translates into a more forceful bite. I don`t dismiss anything in favor of the tiger, either......

  • @kvsudharshan1 The bite force of the tiger has only been recently measured, but the data has not yet been published. I believe the lion would win in a fight, not that it is 'better'. I`m not giving you an opinion.....i can prove it, especially if you join my forum at wildanimalelite.yuku .com, or animaluntamed.yuku .com, for more info. I can prove my points there more easily.

  • @kvsudharshan1 I love both these animals, and have discussed this topic for years......you`d think i`d know what i was talking about. Indeed.....i have the data to prove my point. Not every piece of info you find on the net will be accurate. I get my info from scientifically published articles, pdf documents, books, ect, from biologists in the field. Those sources on the tiger`s bite force consist of estimates from skulls......not reliable.

  • @kvsudharshan1 : And i dunno how it makes lions stronger only because they have more competition. You just do not have enough facts to prove that lions are stronger and you dismiss any thing that favours tiger. So instead of going on and on about it lets stop it here..

  • @brentlion Your comments only prove that you are a die hard Lion fan who is just biased towards lions. The source for all my comments are from the information i get from the internet, i dunno how everything i have read can be wrong. And i have seen/read atleast 3 or 4 times that the bite force of tigers are more than 1000 lbs,now your next comment will be that even thats wrong. So why don you give it a break and cool off. You believe lions are better, i wont stop u. I ll believe both are equals.

  • @kvsudharshan1 Learn more about these animals first, man. Lions fight more than tigers, as they live in groups, and there are many more lions per square kilometer, compared to tigers.....which means more competition over resources. Lions have that protective mane of theirs, and they are more aggressive and persistent on a fight. Due to the particular method they use when striking....they can also strike harder.

  • @kvsudharshan1 Tigers aren`t 50 lbs heavier......you have read wrong. What are you, 8? How do you not know what fast twitch muscle fibers are? They are the muscles responsible for all your swift/fast movements. Tigers don`t have a higher bite force. The only bite force measurements available for tigers are estimates....though the bite force of a sub-adult lion was measured at 691 lbs.

  • @brentlion Ok, i ve no idea whata fast twitch muscle fibre means.. :D. Whatever u say u just cannot convince me that Lions are superior than Tiger or the otherway round.. Tigers are an avg 50 pounds heavier is what i have read, 50 pounds is a lot of difference. Its bite force is significantly higher than lions. Other than the fact that lions are better at combat because they spend almost 3 yrs practicing with their siblings, i dont see how a lion can win against a tiger.

  • @kvsudharshan1 I have every modern document published upon the sizes of these animals, and the difference in weight is only some 5-8%, and body size is roughly equal. Tigers are slightly longer in head to body length, but lions are longer and it is not entirely due to the length of the legs. Go to my forum at wildnaimalelite.yuku .com, or animaluntamed.yuku .com, for more info.

  • @kvsudharshan1 Tigers are only slightly heavier, and that is only due to a higher food intake. They aren`t stronger, though. Lions have a higher proportion of fast twitch muscle fibers, which are bigger and stronger than the other muscles of the body, with more developed upper arms (i`m not guessing, mind you.....i have the data). They are more agile, but then, lions strike in a manner which optimizes both balance and power, and they are more aggressive, with a protective mane.
