If something about capitalism is wrong, it is that it places capital investment above labor investment. A guy can invest 10K and have more influence in a company's decisions than an employee who has invested his whole lifetime with hard work and innovation. The government reinforces and perpetuates this class division by taxing capital gains at a preferential rate, compared to labor earnings.
Sorry, but greed is wrong because it leads to abuse. Maybe "greed" is not the right word for you.

Capitalism is wrong because it leads to socialism/statism that then restricts and corrupts democracy and capitalism leading to more socialism, free market dominated by cronyism via government control. Democracy is limited by non-capitalist, artificial pseudo-market forces. Therefore the solution is to destroy all democratic institutions, private property, personal freedom and all of modern civilization hoping some redeeming ideology will rise and lead the survivors into the promised land.

Is that how it worked for Edison?

Michael Moore is NOT a liberal. There is nothing liberal about hating capitalism (and I suspect the US, Judeo-Christianity, and all of Western Civilization) and promoting obviously destructive ideologies as an alternative to the modern world.

Peter Schiff rocks. He says it so well.

The fallacy is that the pie is made by the rich. They get it because they made it. They didn't TAKE more of the pie, they produced more of the pie. That's the difference between a zero sum game (a pie of finite size everyone fights over) versus a non zero sum game (a pie that is constantly getting bigger)

@dragan221 economics is a social science

@obi1nekinobi Yes, but rooted in government [mis]using its authority to give privileges to corporations, either with the intent to stimulate and shape economic development (subsidies etc), or with the intent to achieve some social goal, or just with the intent of politicians to get extra money.
While big corporations end up strongly influencing government, the seed for corporatism can only be sown by the institution who has the authority and power to corrupt the system: the gov.

@quidnick EXACTLY... Many people like michael moore just insue that ONLY others are greedy. Everyone is greedy.... we all do selfish things from time to time. We all worry about putting a roof over our head and food on our table. PURE capitalism makes two selfish indivduals get what they want out of a transaction.

@WhiteFrequencyNoise: The eagerness to create generalizations like this are what cause things like stereotyping and racism. Just because someone makes over a million dollars doesnt mean they did so by "lieing". So taxing the rich more takes money away from those rich people who tried very hard and satisfied the demands of many people to earn that money. The solution is to take away the tools corporations use to make money away from others (too many government programs and regulations)
Michael Moore provides a service in a market there is a demand for. His customers (people who buy his films) exchange a good (money) for a service (entertainment/documentaries)... capitalism

Why do Liberals always talk about dividing the pie, never about making the pie? I presume it's for the same reason they tend to choose social sciences rather than something like engineering: because it's easier. Creating wealth is hard, distributing it is fun and easy.
