My TV doesn't seem to do that exactly but it almost seems as if a section of the TV almost freezes for a few milliseconds and the catches up with the rest of the picture creating almost a line which is noticeable. Would this be a defect too or would it just be the AMP?

Isn't judder an issue with all TV's due to film based content not being as smooth as video? Or maybe this wasn't judder due to film, but just an issue with this particular model of TV.

Thanks a bunch! Thanks to your video I now know that judder looks like a video stutter, (easy to remember thanks to the rhyme!) I have a new Samsung that exhibits this. I thought it was caused by compression of the video data on my cable box. Thanks to you, I now know that the source of the judder is the tv. Thankfully, it really is very intermittent and doesn't bother me. I'd rather have an occasional hiccup than seeing the soap opera effect in every show I watch. Thanks for posting!

The de-juddering features on new LCD's *help*, but none of it is perfect. I miss my plasma, there are no motion issues with plasma like with LCD's.

Thanks for the great demo. I had trouble explaining what I was seeing with my Samsung until I found this video.

Mine went back to BestBuy after 3 weeks of constant adjustment with no improvement. Clearly a defective fatal flaw, but otherwise a wonderful picture.

And did you bother turning on the de-juddering features most likely included as part of the set, or just decide to whine before seeing what's built-in to the TV that deals specifically with these kinds of issues? Just wondering...

@luv2sd Yep, all LCDs are garbage.

Wow that really shows the difference... blah!

you are a fucking moron comparing an LCD TV to a plasma TV. all LCD TV's have similar juddering problems.
I still have this TV so I can vouch for its sharp image and contrasty image. However, I posted this video so that others could be warned that the whole 240hz tru-motion garbage isn't perfect. You can mess with all of the motion and judder settings you want, but I have not found a perfect solution. You either get an image that is subject to judder, or an image that is subject to blurring on fast scenes.
