This is the second scene of our Lysistrata - the choruses enter after the women gather to launch their peace plot. Originally written for two semi-choruses of old men and old women (we think there were between 12 and 25 people in a chorus), we worked with a vastly reduced cast due to space limitations. The choruses are merged into 2 characters, who act as husband and wife. We also didn't have any spare people to act as 'policemen' (Scythian mercenaries in the original), and so our Kleisthenes comes on stage to help the councillor out. Working with limited space, the physical dynamics of these scenes were hard to capture. There are plenty of references to 2008 Australian Politics, just to warn you.
That guy, the old guy. He's the best actor ever to have been born, and should be immensely rich and famous.
