Standard Suzuki Jimny crossing brighouse ford in the 2007 floods... water was at around two and half foot on depth gauge

seals didnt let one drop of water inside the car...

do jimnys have diff-lock? and where is the air intake>?

Hi,

Jimny's do NOT have a centre diff...

so in effect when you go into 4x4 mode it is in effect locked...!

but that does mean you can't! use 4x4 on high friction surfaces, which to be honest why would you need to?

as for the air intake, it's behind the off-side headlight, and goes into the wing where there is like a u-bend, comes back out of the wing into engine bay where it enters the filter box, next to battery

the only difference is that i have a snorkle, and once we tred deep water, we compair air box's and his is very wet, filter stays dry

and my airbox is almost completly dry, its only i tiny hole for water drainage at the bottom of the airbox that lets in water

im just unsure of sealing the electrics 100%

you'll always be ok, as long as you keep moving, i dont know what happens if you stop lol, i haven't found that out yet LOL ( dont wish to either) :D

water of this depth you'll be ok, its when itt covers your bonnet and you have no

snorkle you have to worry lol

once its coverd your bonnet, and you keep moving you'll have a good mineute or so before it gets near being sucked in

me and a mate have almost identicle jimnys other than colour sceme

his jimny, red with black sticker and stuck on no. plate

me- black jimny with red sticker and stuck on no plate lol

with same mud tyres, and both have 2" lift
